Kim Barsella

I went into the mental health field to be trained in the most effective methods of uplifting and supporting my clients.  I want my clients to realize their inherent value and worth.  We all experience painful life situations from time to time and find ourselves in need of healing.  Research informs us that the most effective and expedient approach to healing involves honest, caring and judgement-free collaboration.   For over 20 years, I have empowered individuals, couples and families to overcome personal obstacles and to improve their most valued relationships using clinically tested and evidenced-based interventions. Rather than adopting one methodology for all individuals and issues, I draw from a variety of models to create a tailored approach for each individual and situation.  I am trained to use modalities such as CBT, DBT, Grief Recovery, Mindfulness techniques, Family Systems, Gottman ideology, Solutions focused and others. As a therapist, I am warm, open, encouraging and direct. I consider myself an active therapist combining experience, education, creativity and a sense of humor with a down-to-earth, realistic approach to counseling.  I’m passionate about helping my clients to achieve their life goals and the quality of relationship they desire.  I am just a phone call away.  Let’s produce the change you want to see.
